Old Mac Games!

With a tender tear in my eye I remember The Goode Olde Days of Mac gaming... when screens were only 512 by 342 and pixels were either on or off. Consider these games to be the Macintosh equivalent of PC DOS games. For an exhaustive list of early Mac games visit this French site (if you can read French), or the Google translated version.

Orlando Poon's Toxic Ravine Cleanup and Rescue ServiceOrlando Poon's Toxic Ravine Cleanup and Rescue Service
Orlando Poon's Toxic Ravine Cleanup and Rescue Service AKA Toxic Ravine - Quite a strange game where you had to clean up a boulder-filled valley and then rescue trapped beings (what were those guys, anyway?) from your peripatetic blimp. The cute little guys you had to rescue would get tired and squeak, "I'm hungry!" You had to feed them apples to get them moving again. Toxic Ravine had a very unique flavor that I miss to this day.

Pararena
Pararena - Hard to master but highly enjoyable, this futuristic hoverboard sports game featured a quite sophisticated physics model. Marcus recalls, "I remember how pleased I was when I finally managed to score in Pararena." Too true.
