Germs

I was sorry to hear
about your failing health.
Beware those germs, my dear,
they are masters of stealth.

Sneaking in while you sleep:
microscopic vultures!
Doctors have seen them creep
in all types of cultures.

So get plenty of rest.
(I know this isn't fun.)
Arm yourself with your best
medicinal shotgun.

And if those germs come back;
mark your aiming quite well,
as they try to attack
blow them all back to hell!

Soon you'll be back in style
full of vim and vigor;
facing the daily trials
that turn a man to liquor!
