Getting Older

Truly it can be said
the older you get
the harder it is
to get out of bed.

Being old is not all bad
when you find yourself saying,
"Throughout my life I have had
mistakes not worth replaying."

"Now I see things as I should
when looking back in refrain.
I know indeed what was good,
what never to do again."

When you think you're growing old
be quick of mind and tongue.
If your thoughts and speech be bold
then you shall remain young.
