Still in Love

In a crowded room I saw your face

And moved closer to admire your grace
My lips did touch yours, oh so gently

Staring in your eyes so intently
Tender lips did call upon my name
Insisting that I see you again
Later we met by the south’rn shore
Loving and hugging - couldn’t do more

Songs and poems I crafted for you
Oh how much your love did pull me through

Midnight encounters in dark Boston
Under those stars our love had begun
Centuries of passion we each gave
Holding back nothing, nothing to save

I wanted more and so did you too
Never I thought would we be untrue

Love was interrupted by my pain
Over words of anger and of blame
Very soon my feelings turned to dread
Every moment I wished I was dead

Woefully, I thought there could be change
Instead I left you with feelings strange
That, I could tell, was the far worst sin
Hope was lost - a heart broken within

Yet let me dream of you kissing me
Oh God! I wish that is what will be
Upon my soul! It’s my final plea
